Millions of literary pages and thousands of meters of documentary footage show war and its victims to mankind. But this does not make mankind smarter, nor wiser. After two world wars and hundreds of local wars, today once more we’re facing the question of whether the world is preparing for World War Three. Meanwhile, Bulgaria has begun receiving victims of war. What do we learn from them? And what do we learn about ourselves? The Strange Other is an invitation for reflection, and a contact with ordinary people who found themselves in unusual situations. The Strange Other is an indirect dialogue between refugees and Bulgarians who had to confront each other, against their own will.
