On 14 June 2013 more than ten thousand people took to the streets to protest against the appointment of Delyan Peevski as chief of Bulgaria's State Agency for National Security, against the political bulldozers and their media instruments.

The protests lasted for more than a calendar year. This was unprecedented in Bulgarian history.
