Framing

Within the framework of its 11th edition, the Fotofabrika Festival presents the series Framing – a solo exhibition by political reporter and photojournalist Vesselin Borishev, known for his photo albums from the documentary series "Oh, Do You Remember, Madam?" Now he presents something completely different. As a seasoned man, Borishev experiences a strong curiosity towards the female body. He goes beyond the norms of what a woman is and sets new frames through which to perceive her. He peers through the spyglass of his lens in a naively voyeuristic manner and suggests that we can see women in different roles and poses. And each woman has her own frame.

The photographic cycle Framing is a projection of the living external world. Here, Borishev is not seeking to project himself onto society but rather reveals what is missing – the feminine. And in a healthy way, he draws attention to what is beyond him, curiously going to see what lies around the corner. See for yourselves.
